Yes, we can facilitate on site tailored training for your staff. Please contact us directly to discuss the details & book a session. Group  discounts available.

Will I get a certificate for attending an education session?

Yes, all courses are NMBI accredited. All registered nurses will receive CPDs and a certificate on completion.
For other healthcare professionals, you will receive a certificate of attendance on completion.

Where is The Dressing Clinic located?

Our clinic is located at Link Healthcare, Westpoint Business Park, Ballincollig, Cork, P31HF29. Alternatively, our nurse can visit patients at home to assess & dress their wound(s).

Does I need a referral from a doctor/nurse?

Accepted Answer

No, referrals are accepted directly from patients and their families by phone and email.
However, referrals from doctors/nurses are welcome and can be helpful.

Who can use this service?

Accepted Answer

This service is open to anyone in need of wound care. Home visits are available for anyone living within 50km of Cork City. Patients living outside of this can attend our clinic space in Ballincollig, Cork P31HF29

Question 6

I am currently attending my Public Health Nurse or local clinic, can I still be seen at The Dressing Clinic?

Yes, we can provide shared care with your local nursing team. Alternatively, you may need a one-off specialist assessment. We will liaise with your local team after your appointment.

Question 7

Who will be providing wound care?

Accepted Answer

All wounds are assessed & dressed by our Tissue Viability Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Question 8

Is this service covered by the medical card?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, this service is not covered under the medical card. Payment can be made by Cash/ Card at yourappointment. You can claim 20% tax back for medical expenses with your receipts

Question 9

Is this service covered by private health insurers?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this service is covered under VHI Nurse Visit. For all other private healthcare insurers, please check directly with your provider.

For those without a VHI plan, payment can be made by cash/ card at your appointment. You can claim 20% tax back for medical expenses with
your receipts.
